Telulah (aka Tully)'s Story

Meet Telulah (goes by Tully)

Tully is approximately 10-12 months old and is thought to be an American Staffordshire Terrier-type mix. Tully's family loved her very much, but fell on some hard times and had to find a place for her to call home (partly because they were unable to find housing that would allow Tully's breed) This is always so heartbreaking, and we want Tully's new family to understand that they might need to be patient with Tully while she re-learns everything in a new setting.

Tully is very much a puppy in a lot of ways - she's rambunctious, curious, intelligent, and at times, a bull in a china shop! She has no idea how powerful she can be when her zoomies turn into a bulldozer coming straight for you...but she's having the time of her life when she does it! In other ways, Tully is incredibly sensitive and can be turned into a mouse over the slightest "scary thing". She's the type of girl who will absolutely connect with her new family in no time.

Tully would benefit from a family who is active and involved, and open to all things puppy like leash training, helping her learn a new potty routine, basic obedience/manners, and positive socialization. Tully LOVES to use her nose, so outdoor explorations are a definite YES for this baby!

Tully has lived with other dogs, cats and children and has done well. She should be just fine with these in a new home as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. She is potty trained and used to being home alone during the day, but again, she's going to be in a whole new world so please take your time and understand that she may need time to understand new boundaries.

Tully is a social adventurous and fun-loving girl who will join you for just about anything from boating to cuddling on the couch! If that's your kinda girl, Tully would love to meet you. We are doing all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been approved:
https://monroecountydogshelter.com/apply-adopt.html

Tully will be spayed prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $20
