Meet Teja – a sweet, funny, four-year-old pittie who affectionately goes by the nickname “Sweet Potato.” She’s on the lookout for her forever home!<br/><br/>Teja is affectionate and friendly - especially when meeting new people - and loves nothing more than pets and belly rubs. She’s wonderful with older kids, though younger children can sometimes overwhelm her gentle nature.<br/><br/>With other dogs, Teja is respectful and does best with pups smaller than her 70 pounds. When it comes to larger dogs, she can be a bit unsure, so a smaller canine companion would be the best fit.<br/><br/>Her idea of a perfect day? A nice walk, some couch time, outdoor “sniff-aris” to explore the world, and plenty of snuggles with her humans. And if that day also includes the joy of deconstructing a toy, well, that’s the cherry on top!<br/><br/>What she could live without? Thunderstorms, allergy season, chicken, and sharp noises. What she’d happily trade them for? Car rides, treats, belly rubs, and naps.<br/><br/>Teja does have a history of UTIs and needs a quick wipe after coming in from outside. She also has some skin allergies that respond well to soothing baths, and she takes daily thyroid medication.<br/><br/>At heart, Teja is simply a very sweet companion looking for a patient, gentle, and kind home.
