Senior dogs on the street are often overlooked. Independant rescuers only have certain space restrictions and senior dogs are not adopted on the island. Miguel reached to us when Tego was on the street with a younger dog who was adopted and Miguel didnt want to leave Tego alone. Of course we said yes. Now lets talk about Tego, chi lovers you will understand :) Tego was on the streets for many years, he is about 8 years old, 17 pounds, had a denistry and is on a joint supplement for his back legs. Tego is very loving however on his terms. He has been used to his inpendenance for a long time. While he enjoys head pats, treats, and sitting beside you, he is not a fan of being picked up. While he will nit bite he becomes a tad grumpy which is kinda adorable to watch for all of us who understand older senior chihuhua personalities. Tego loves other dogs, not puppies. He is a no to cats and probably kids until 12 unless supervised. Tego is housetrained, eats well with other dogs, plays with toys, and walks well on a leash. Currently he is in a fenced yard and saunters all around enjoying the fresh air. Tego needs a family to love and adore him the rest of his life...
