Teddy is neutered, male 8-month-old, 23-pound beautiful boy, and his adoption fee is $1,100. Teddy is a black and tan, Cocker Spaniel/Shih Tzu mix. He is soft and non-shedding, has a wonderful temperament, loves to please and learn, gets along great with dogs and cats, and loves humans! <br/><br/>Teddy is a fun silly boy, curious, gentle, and loving. Teddy gets along with dogs, is learning to walk on a leash, loves exploring the yard, and snuggling with his people. He is a smart boy, and and learns quickly. We expect Teddy to be about 30-35 pounds when full grown. <br/><br/>Teddy will require:<br/>- A fully fenced and secure yard.<br/>- Puppy training to continue developing his manners.<br/>- Grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep his coat beautiful.<br/>- And a family that currently has a dog to help with Teddy’s development and continued socialization would be ideal (but not mandatory).<br/><br/>Teddy is a rescue dog, and rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, they should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview. <br/><br/>Teddy is fostered north of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. <br/><br/>The tax deductible adoption fee is not negotiable. The fee is needed in order for us to "save it forward" for the next dog. The fee covers spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, rabies vaccine. We seek the best "fit" home for our dogs.<br/><br/>6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the State of California whose pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we “Save it forward”; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. <br/><br/>6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State.
