Teddy in IA's Story

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

My name is Teddy. I am 8 months old. I am being fostered in Waterloo, Iowa.

I am a super happy puppy. I thrive on attention and I bounce or hop everywhere I go. I can even jump high enough to get on bar stools and counters. It’s pretty impressive! I love exploring my environment.

I’m doing well with going number one outside with the occasional accident but with the cold and snowy Iowa weather I tend to hold number two and try to do it inside.

I do not care for people food yet which makes living with little humans easy. I love little kids and following them around. I tend to get a little too nippy but I’m easily redirected to my toys. I love shadowing my foster family around the house upstairs and downstairs. I don’t care to be alone although I do sleep in the kennel at night and while my family is at work and school.

I’m learning how to play with all sorts of toys. So far I like chasing balls and playing with stuffies. I’m even learning how to play fetch. I get along with other dogs. The grouchy old man here doesn’t enjoy playing much and I respect his space. I have learned a lot from the grumpy one but I don’t think I need a furry sibling to show me how to be a dog. I have also found my voice.

My favorite thing is to watch my foster parents through the outside windows and bark at them. Loud noises don’t bother me any more than it would any other dog. I love bouncing up on my hind legs and stretching out against anyone for head scratches and attention.

What I need most is an owner who understands what it is like to have an active puppy around since I still need direction on what I can chew on and learning manners.

Here's a little more about me:
Housetrained? Still working on it.
Leash-trained? I do well.
Rides well in a car? I tend to bounce around.
Good with other dogs? Yes.
Good with cats? Only encountered once but was curious and did fine.
Good with young children? Yes but a little jumpy and bitey.
Good with strangers? Yes.
Shy or confident? Confident.
Barks? Yes.
Apartment qualified? Yes.
Any Special needs or Health Issues? No.
Adoption Fee? $ 550

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at ''https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
