Teddy - German / Aussie Shepherd mix's Story
Teddy is an almost 4-year-old German/Australian Shepherd mix. He's a smart dog, who learns quickly (was potty trained using a bell in 2 days). He knows basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, shake, bed, come, leave it, walk and free.

He loves to sunbathe and people watch, go on walks, hikes, playing in the snow especially and swimming! He does great at the dog parks and on walks.

A few things to note:
- He is can be an anxious dog when it comes to loud noises such as thunderstorms and fireworks. He'll pace and whine and drool excessively, and his foster uses a Thundershirt to calm him down.
- He does have a dislike for delivery trucks (UPS, FedEx, Amazon, etc.). It's the only time he barks and will run along the fence.
- He loves to play and is almost 90 lbs., so a small dog in his adoptive home probably isn't best.
- He sleeps in a dog bed or floor, wherever he wants.
- A home without kids is best. He doesn’t like the noise and will go to the door to be let out if the volume gets too high.

Teddy is super handsome and a really great dog who would love a quieter home and lots of love! He will reward you with all his heart. He is currently in Highlands Ranch (Denver area).

For more info and/or to apply to adopt Teddy, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
