Meet Teddy & Freddy

PLEASE READ THEIR ENTIRE BIO BEFORE APPLYING.

LOCAL ADOPTIONS ONLY — MIAMI-DADE, BROWARD, OR PALM BEACH COUNTY. .

Teddy: Yorkie 1 year old 3 lbs
Freddy: Yorkie Mix 1 year old 6 lbs
Location: Miami, FL
Adoption Fee: $700 for the bonded pair

Teddy and Freddy are an adorable bonded pair who will only be adopted together. These two absolutely adore each other and have never been apart. When separated, they cry for one another, so keeping them together is not negotiable.

Meet Teddy

Teddy may weigh only 3 pounds, but he has a whole lot of personality packed into that tiny body. He is a beautiful little Yorkie with silky golden-beige fur who loves to play, run around the yard, and wrestle with his brother and other small dogs.

He can be cautious around new people and may bark until he decides you're safe, but once he's comfortable, his affectionate side comes out. After a busy day of zoomies and playtime, Teddy is perfectly happy curling up with his person for some TV and cuddles.

Because Teddy is extremely tiny and fragile, his future family must understand the extra care required with a dog his size.

Meet Freddy

Freddy is the scruffy, happy-go-lucky half of this little duo. He loves everyone he meets and is always ready to play, explore, and see what kind of fun he can find.

He's curious, energetic, incredibly smart, and still very much a young dog. Freddy will happily investigate—and possibly chew—anything he finds interesting, so supervision and continued training are important.

Life With Teddy & Freddy

These boys are young, energetic, and love spending their days running, wrestling, and playing together before eventually crashing for a well-earned nap.

They thrive on routine and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day. They are currently kept safely in a playpen when their foster leaves and should not routinely be left alone for more than approximately three hours at a time.

Both boys are still working on house training. Teddy is doing fairly well with pee pads but still has occasional accidents. Freddy is still very much in the learning stage. Their adopter must be prepared to continue working with them using patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.

Teddy & Freddy's Ideal Home

They MUST be adopted together
Securely fenced yard REQUIRED
No children
Someone home most of the day
Must be supervised whenever outside
No significantly larger dogs due to Teddy's tiny size
Other friendly small dogs are okay
Patient family committed to continued potty training and house manners
Financially prepared for lifelong veterinary care and professional grooming

Important Safety Information

Both Teddy and Freddy can be escape artists, so a secure yard and careful supervision are extremely important.

Teddy may be tiny, but he is a fearless little jumper, and both boys love exploring and picking things up from the ground. Their adopter will need to be vigilant with doors, gates, fencing, and outdoor supervision.

Adoption Commitment

Yorkies and Yorkie mixes require ongoing care throughout their lives. Applicants must be financially prepared to provide:

Routine veterinary care
Annual vaccinations
Monthly preventatives
Regular professional grooming
Quality nutrition
Any unexpected or future medical care

Adoption Process

A completed adoption application is required. All applicants go through our screening process, which includes reference checks and a home check.

Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we will only contact applicants we feel are the best match for Teddy and Freddy. If you do not hear from us, it simply means another home was selected that we believe better meets their specific needs.

Please do not email us with adoption inquiries.
