Teddy's Story

Meet Teddy: The 80-Pound Goofball with a Heart of Gold

Teddy is 2.5 years old, 80 pounds of pure joy, and the living proof that love can come in the most unexpected genetic packages—his dad is a husky, his mom a pitbull mix, and somehow he ended up looking like a linebacker with the soul of a golden retriever.

Adopted as a puppy and returned at 7 months for being “too energetic” (we prefer the term enthusiastically alive), Teddy has since matured into a slightly calmer adult who still believes every day is a party and every person is a guest of honor.

He’s never met a human or dog he didn’t love. Aggression? Never heard of it. Barking at strangers? Not his vibe. Teddy is the kind of dog who would help a burglar carry the TV out if they gave him a belly rub.

Highlights of Teddy’s Resume:

Professional toy enthusiast (especially tiny orange and blue balls)
Frog connoisseur (he eats them... we’re working on it)
Olympic-level jumper (seriously, he could clear a Prius)
Bed-sharing expert (he insists on sleeping with you, preferably on your pillow)
House-trained and non-destructive (your shoes are safe!)
Has a Chihuahua BFF (they’re basically a sitcom waiting to happen)

He’s a “bull in a china shop” with the gentlest heart. Teddy needs a home with a tall fence (six feet minimum—he’s got hops), a very playful large dog sibling, and humans who appreciate his goofy energy and snuggle demands.

He’s not a fan of nail trims at the vet (he thinks it’s a conspiracy), but he’ll forgive you instantly if you throw his favorite ball. Again. And again. And again.

Ideal Job:
Running buddy, toy tester, professional cuddler
Ideal Home:
Active, loving, and ready for a daily dose of laughter
Warning:
May cause spontaneous joy and increased serotonin levels
