Teddy

Posted on 9/8/2022. Teddy came to The Nest from a local animal shelter where he was taken by his owner because she moved out of state. Teddy is a very spunky, energetic and fun loving 1 year old shih-Tzu pup. He gets along well with other dogs and wants to play with them (he can be a little obnoxious sometimes with his exuberant energy). He would be very compatible with another dog about his age, size and energy level. Teddy likes to play fetch with squeaky toys and during quiet time he loves to chew on his nylabone! He loves to be with his human as much as possible and gets a bit anxious initially when he thinks you leave him. Once he adjusts to a new routine he is just fine. Teddy is housebroken when on a regular schedule, he is very well behaved, always wants to please his human and always ready for an adventure. For Teddy we are looking for a home with active people who can give him all the action he craves: long walks/hikes, playing fetch, and possibly wrestling and playing with a compatible canine companion. We prefer a home with a decent size securely fenced in yard so so Teddy can run around and play off leash in a secure place.<br/>Teddy is scheduled to be neutered, he is current on vaccinations including Rabies, he tested negative for heartworm, he is on heartworm/flea prevention medicine and he is micro chipped.
