Teddy's Story
Teddy is a handsome 1-year-old black and tan German Shepherd with a heart as big as his paws. Weighing about 65 pounds (and still filling out), this sweet boy is ready to find a forever home where he can truly thrive. Teddy has been in the same home since he was a puppy and is now being fostered while he searches for his next chapter in life.

What makes Teddy special? It’s his incredible mix of affection, confidence, and playful energy. He enjoys meeting new people and is the kind of dog who leans into you for pets, happily soaks up attention, and then is ready to romp and play. He’s wonderful with kids of all ages and has a gentle nature, despite his size. He's always up for any new adventure that comes his way, and he especially likes visiting dog parks.

Teddy attends doggy daycare twice a week, where he plays appropriately and happily with the other dogs. He would likely enjoy a home with another playful dog companion or an active family who can match his energy. Teddy is also quite athletic and has been known to jump fences, so he will need a secure yard (ideally with a tall, reinforced fence) or a home committed to supervised outdoor time and structured exercise.

Like many German Shepherds, Teddy has a strong instinct to chase small animals, so a home without cats (or with very careful management and proper introductions) would be best. On leash, he’s generally good but can occasionally react to other dogs depending on the situation.

Teddy is house-trained and kennel-trained, rides well in the car, has a solid foundation of basic obedience, and he’s eager to learn. Overall, Teddy is a confident, affectionate, and highly trainable youngster who is just waiting for someone to give him the activity, structure, and love he deserves. Is Teddy your perfect match?
