Teddy's Story

Meet Teddy! This sweet, lovable boy was found wandering the streets of Fresno, California in October 2025. Teddy weighs around 65 pounds and is approximately 4 years old. Teddy is incredibly friendly and loves meeting new canine friends big or small! He’s yet to meet a dog he doesn’t get along with and is wonderful at adjusting his play style to match his playmates. In his current foster home, he happily plays with both energetic puppies and gentle senior small dogs. While Teddy hasn’t been tested with cats, he is very gentle by nature and may be a good candidate for a home with a feline friend. He has spent time around children as well; although he may be shy and a bit avoidant at first, he warms up within a day and becomes comfortable, respectful, and sweet. Teddy is quite the conversationalist and loves to “talk” to his human and dog friends, so he would likely do best in a home rather than an apartment. He enjoys playing fetch, squeaking his favorite toys, and is learning basic commands like sit and stay. Curious and adventurous, Teddy loves exploring new spaces and always follows his nose wherever it leads. This outdoorsy guy would make the perfect walking or hiking companion, rain or shine, Teddy is happiest outside! While he may need a few days to warm up to new people, a couple of positive interactions and shared walks are all it takes for him to become your loyal best friend for life. Teddy is being fostered in Portland, OR and ready to start his next and best adventure with you! Applications at therawleyproject.org
