Teddy's Story
Reason for the rehoming program:

Unfortunately, his current family isn’t the best fit for his activity level, and he would really thrive in a home that has more time and energy to train, play, and work with him. He also has a strong prey drive, which means he would do best in a home without cats. He would do best with someone who is excited to stay active and help him continue learning.

Ideal family:
He’d love a home where someone has time for training, playtime, and cuddles, especially a family who works from home or has flexible schedules. He’s still learning his manners, so he’ll need gentle guidance, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement. Most of all, he just needs a loving family who’s ready to give him attention and help him grow into the best boy 💙

Personality:

Affectionate

Intelligent

Playful

Quick learner

Stubborn

Foodie

Car ride enthusiast

Good Companion

Energetic

Active

Funny

Loves to cuddle

Physical characteristics:

Male

6.5 months old

Husky Lab mix

57 lbs

Short coat

Medium shedding

Social levels:

Good with people

Good with dogs

Not good with cats

Good with children (10+)

For now, younger kids aren’t the best match simply as he’s over 50 lbs and can get extra excited with some jumping or playful nips. He’s not aggressive at all, just a big baby who is still learning. Younger children in the home will need proper management with him to ensure his success 🙂

Activity levels:
High (120+ minutes per day)
Loves to:

Play fetch

Hike

Jogging

Playing with toys

Chewing on bones

Play with other dogs

Training levels:

Basic obedience

Potty trained

What they need to work on:

Crate training, can be have separation anxiety when left loose home alone, but his crate training is going super well!

Puppy nipping when excited

Likes to jump

Leash pulling

Medical Characteristics:

Vaccinated ( DHPP, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Rabies)

Parasite prevention

Microchipped

Sterilised

Adoption Fee: $995

Medical procedures: Vaccinations, Sterilised, Microchip, Prevention Medication (tick and flea)

Basic supplies

Medical booklet

Informational guide

Support group with Passion for Paws team during adoption trial
