Meet Teddy — Your Future Best Furever Friend!<br/>A handsome little gentleman with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and one very important requirement: a spot in your bed!<br/>Meet Teddy, an absolutely adorable Shih Tzu who is just under a year old, weighs a little over 15 pounds, and is searching for the loving furever family he has always deserved!<br/>It's hard to imagine that a little dog as precious as Teddy could have ever been treated as anything less than family, but unfortunately, his story didn't begin with the love and comfort every dog deserves!<br/><br/>Before coming into the care of A Second DogGone Chance Rescue & Sanctuary, Teddy was forced to live his life outside. His tiny body was covered in ticks, his beautiful coat was painfully matted, and perhaps most heartbreaking of all, his sweet little spirit was broken.<br/>His previous owner explained that he simply didn't like having dog hair inside his home. The irony? Teddy is a Shih Tzu, a breed known for shedding very little! Apparently, nobody bothered to tell Teddy's previous owner that!<br/><br/>Regardless of the excuse, we couldn't bear the thought of this sweet boy spending another day outside, deprived of the affection, companionship, and comfort he so desperately deserved. So, we stepped in and promised Teddy that his days of being unwanted were officially OVER!<br/>And let us tell you, Teddy has wasted absolutely no time making up for lost love!<br/><br/>This handsome little guy is an absolute social butterfly! He adores every single person he meets, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is even cat friendly! Teddy has never met a stranger, only potential new best friends!<br/><br/>Now, we do have one little confession to make...<br/>Teddy is what we affectionately refer to as a LOUD MOUTH!<br/>This little man has opinions, and he's certainly not afraid to share them! Whether he's excited to see his favorite people, playing with his furry buddies, or simply feeling like he has something important to announce, Teddy occasionally likes to use his voice. We personally think it adds to his charm!<br/><br/>Teddy absolutely LOVES running around, playing, and being silly with his canine companions. Because he enjoys having furry friends so much, we would love to find him a home with another playful dog and a nice, securely fenced yard where he can run, explore, and enjoy the carefree puppyhood he was previously denied.<br/>But don't let his playful personality fool you! Once the sun goes down, Teddy is ready to trade his outdoor adventures for some serious snuggle time.<br/>You see, Teddy has recently discovered one of life's greatest luxuries...<br/>SLEEPING IN A BIG, COMFY BED WITH HIS HUMAN!<br/><br/>And after experiencing this wonderful arrangement, Teddy has politely informed the rescue that he has absolutely ZERO intentions of returning to sleeping alone! He would greatly appreciate his future family honoring his request for a permanent spot in their bed. Preferably with fluffy pillows, soft blankets, and unlimited bedtime cuddles!<br/><br/>Teddy has already experienced what it feels like to be overlooked, neglected, and treated as though he didn't deserve a place inside someone's home.<br/>We intend to make sure he never feels that way again.<br/><br/>We want Teddy's next family to be his LAST family. A family who sees him as a beloved member of the household, not an inconvenience.
