Tazz's Story

Meet Tazz
Tazz 2 years old Terrier, Pit Bull Neutered Male Approx. 47 lbs Available in Shelter
Some dogs don't rush into your life... they ease their way in and quietly steal your attention.
Tazz is one of those dogs.
At first, he can be a little unsure in new situations, but with a bit of time and patience, he starts to show his playful, silly side and really comes into his own.
His absolute favorite thing? A tennis ball. Just don't expect him to give it back easily. He prefers to proudly carry it around the yard, happily doing laps like he's showing off his prize while you try (and fail) to catch him.
And then there's his walk... it's impossible not to smile. Tazz has the cutest little prance, like he knows all eyes are on him and he's putting on his best performance. It's one of those things you really have to see in person to fully appreciate.
He came to us underweight and has been steadily improving with care and good nutrition. He's been through a lot of change, and he's still building confidence as he goes.
In new environments or when meeting new dogs, Tazz may need a little time to feel comfortable. Once he's had that chance to adjust, he settles in and does much better with his surroundings and routine.
He can also get a bit anxious when left alone, so he'll do best with someone who can offer consistency, patience, and a steady daily rhythm as he continues to grow.
Why you'll love Tazz
Playful, goofy personality once comfortable
Loves tennis balls (and turning them into a game of chase)
The most adorable prancing walk
Sweet, soft nature that shines with time
Making steady progress and learning as he goes
A fun, spirited boy ready for a patient home
Has shown positive signs toward other dogs
If you have other dog(s), a meet and greet is required at the shelter.
Tazz isn't looking for perfection, he's looking for understanding, patience, and someone willing to let him unfold at his own pace.
Come meet Tazz at the Caroline County Humane Society
407 W.
