Taytum's Story

Hi! I'm Taytum! I'm brand new to Minnesota and I'm looking for my perfect humans. I have just recently made the long journey here with my sister, Tate. We were living on our own together on the streets and some people found us and said that they were going to help us find forever homes.
For now, I'm staying with a foster family and let me tell you- life is good! I have a foster mom, dad, two human brothers (ages 8 and 10) and two foster-pup sisters. When I first came here, I missed my sister a lot, but thankfully the two resident dogs here welcomed me and we run and play all over the yard! I really like having another dog with me to show me around and help me gain confidence.
I get along with all the people in my house now that I've warmed up and learned to trust them. They're so nice to me and even though I was nervous at first, now I'm comfortable to jump up on the couch and ask for pets. Sometimes they give me snacks called "cheese" and "chicken" and I can say with confidence that it is so much better than anything I ever found in Alabama.
I have also discovered so many things I never even knew existed!
Couches?! A comfy dog bed just for me?! Toys?! TREATS?!! Holy buckets, I missed out on a lot for the first 9 months of my life but I'm catching on and catching up on the good life.
Because I'm brand new to domesticated life, I'm still learning all the things. I think I have the "go potty outside" stuff down. I have only ever gone potty outside, and I've gotten the hang of waiting by the door when I want to go out. That's pretty easy.
I don't mind my kennel. I enjoy some treats to get me in there, but I'm totally chill once I'm in it and I think it feels safe and cozy. I sleep in there all night and when my people have to leave the house during the day.
The leash walking thing is something I don't totally understand. Like, I get that you want to exercise, but I just really love running free in the backyard. I think maybe if we get some more treats worked into the process, with practice- I'll be a good walker.
I'm looking for my forever family to bring me home and teach me all I need to know to be a good dog. I am loveable, playful, loyal, and eager to learn. Are you looking for a good sidekick who will always be there for a snuggle... or roll in the dirt with you (if you so choose)?
--------------------------------------------
All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

Adoption Fee - $500

To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/
