Tayla & Toulouse

TAYLA (5/6 years) & TOULOUSE (6/7years) - currently in Fonthill / Pelham, close to St. Catherine’s and Niagara.<br/><br/>This beautiful pair of bonded dogs are looking for a brand new forever home. <br/><br/>TAYLA & TOULOUSE were found left for 2 days after their owner was sadly found deceased in the bathtub in Toronto just before Christmas 2024.<br/><br/>We immediately took them into our care. They were first in a temporary foster home for 3 months, then moved to the Fonthill / Pelham area to a second foster home where they have been since March 2025. They are currently with the foster home's 10 year old Poodle / Bichon mix and get along very well.<br/><br/>TAYLA (Pomeranian / Terrier Mix) - is a very cuddly girl. She loves all humans, young and old alike. She is treat motivated and aims to please, but you have to watch that she doesn't eat too much to keep her at a healthy weight of approx 12 pounds. She walks very well on a leash and likes short brisk walks. TAYLA is very attached to her buddy TOULOUSE. She is fully house trained and goes potty outside, has never had incidents indoors. TAYLA loves to sit in your lap, is so playful, has puppy energy, will make you laugh. You can't help but immediately fall inlove with her.<br/><br/>Although TAYLA has a completely different character than TOULOUSE, we want them to stay together, their bond is understated and a quiet one. They need each other.<br/><br/>TOULOUSE (Skye Terrier) - he is a gentle boy, bonded with TAYLA and is protective of her in his own way. He takes a little while to settle in and trust, but after he does, he a big attention seeker, looking for belly rubs and affection. He likes to wake up his foster mom with his wet nose asking for pats in the morning. Although not so large, is strong and needs a bit more training on a leash. He growls a bit to let you know he's not happy but it's not a problem at all. He is treat motivated and likes to take long naps by himself after a walk. TOULOUSE needs his space, especially at first. As he decompresses and learns he is 'home' he will show you the cutest head tilt. TOULOUSE has a wise old soul and has a way of creeping into and capturing your heart.<br/><br/>Both dogs absolutely LOVE running around and playing in the garden, or just sitting enjoying the sunshine. These two need each other, and we hope we find them a home that will see how special they are.<br/><br/>They are truly adorable dogs, each unique in their own way.<br/> <br/>They have not likely been around children so a home with mainly adults is best, and if children visit, they should be gentle and calm.<br/><br/>Ideal Home for TOULOUSE & TAYLA:<br/>- Calm, gentle home that is committed to them their whole life<br/>- Routine <br/>- No young children (would be too much for TOULOUSE)<br/>- Visiting children should be respectful of TOULOUSE and not overwhelm him, he does not like hyper energy.<br/>- Visitors should be respectful of TOULOUSE and allow HIM to come to them at his own pace.<br/>- Backyard to run around and play in.<br/>- Experienced in training a dog to walk properly <br/>- Another dog in the home 'can' work with a proper introduction.<br/><br/>If you think you can give them a wonderful forever home, together forever, please email us and we will send you the application, and if all goes well, we will set up a Meet + Greet. <br/><br/>NOTE: they are not from Lebanon, but we took on their case as an emergency too help them, and not to end up in the wrong hands<br/><br/>CALL: Cynthia 416-587-8804<br/>EMAIL: RescueDogsLebanonCanada@gmail.com
