TAWNY's Story

PLEASE READ THIS BIO COMPLETELY, and if interested, inquire by email to:

aboutrescuedogs@aol.com

if you meet the qualifications we are requiring for this dog.

Adorable TAWNY is a one year old, 7 pound, Yorkie/Poodle mix little girl who had been surrendered from a situation where there were 30 dogs in the home. Dogs from these type of hoarding cases tend to display behavior similar to those from a puppy mill. TAWNY is an extremely quiet, shy girl who loves getting attention and affection from her person as she had not known it in her previous life. She needs a quiet, understanding adult home who will give her the time she will need to acclimate to a new home and will NOT be placed with children. A friendly adult small dog in her new home may be a bonus as she was used to living with a large group of dogs previously and is comfortable around them. A well-adjusted canine sibling may help teach her how to be a normal dog.

We are REQUIRING a securely fenced yard, for her safety and enjoyment. So that means not an invisible fence, using a tie out, or going to a dog park for exercise.

Being one of 30 in her previous home...TAWNY will need an understanding owner who is willing to put in the work to housetrain her. She will need someone who is home with her and can keep her on a schedule.

TAWNY has been spayed, had a dental cleaning, had her blood panel checked, had her DAPP/L and booster, bordetella, and rabies vaccinations, had a fecal check, was microchipped, and is heartworm negative and is on heartworm/flea preventative.

If you meet the above requirements and think your home is the one for TAWNY, the first step is to contact us by email (NOT using the Petfinder link as we have difficulty receiving those inquiries) so send the email to:

aboutrescuedogs@aol.com

...and tell us about the type of fenced yard you have to keep her safe and secure, and about your family situation and explain why you think your home would be a good match for TAWNY. Also please include your name, address, and phone number in the email. We will also require the name and phone number of your vet clinic as a reference so phone ahead and advise them we will be calling.

TAWNY will be shown at a meet and greet after approved application completion. Her adoption fee is $500 and includes a collar, leash, harness, toys, crate, and food.

Thanks for wanting to "Rescue One!"
