He is affectionate, friendly, and loves being close to his people. True to his breed, Tater believes everyone he meets is a friend and does wonderfully with strangers, including at the vet.<br/><br/>Tater was rescued from a backyard breeder where he spent much of his early life confined to a small cage🥺 Because of this, he developed carpal deformities in both front legs, with the left leg more affected.<br/><br/>Health & Special Needs:<br/>Veterinary specialists have advised that surgery may be an option, but the window for surgery is very limited since Tater is already around 2 years old, and the procedure is very expensive. Surgery has not been pursued at this time.<br/><br/>Currently, Tater is:<br/>Happy, active, and pain-free.<br/>Managing well with everyday activities.<br/>Expected to benefit from weight management, controlled exercise, and supportive care<br/><br/>As he ages, Tater may develop arthritis, and pain management will be used if needed.<br/><br/>🏡 Ideal Home:<br/>Tater would do best in a loving home that understands his physical needs, helps manage his activity level, and provides plenty of affection.
