Tara's Story

Tara was taken to the shelter when her owner was sentenced. She's a sweet, approx 13 year young, lab mix. She came to us with a large mass which we had removed and analyzed. Fortunately, it was benign and Tara is now finishing up healing from that surgery.
Tara loves to hang out with her humans. She will play a bit but prefers to have a soft lap to rest her head on. She does love to walk (within reason) and enjoys hanging out outside and just watching the world happen.
If you're looking for a gal that just wants to hang out, spend her time getting belly rubs from her human, and just plain loving an easy-going life, then she's your gal!
She does well with other pups, however will only play for a little bit before she's done and just wants to go back for her treats and belly rubs.
This girl has so much love still to give! Won't you give her a chance?

**NC only

Freedom Bridge Animal Rescue NC, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
All fosters and adopters are screened to include a vet check and home check prior to placing any pup. We often have pre-adoption events where potential adopters can meet the pups. IF they find a pup they are interested in, an application is completed along with the checks noted above. We bring the pup over and help with any meet and greets as needed, along with supplies for a week as we offer a one week trial prior to needing to commit. IF the pup is not ready yet (e.g. more vaccines, altering, etc) the pup can go as a foster to adopt during which time that pup is still under our ownership until all has been completed.
