Taos's Story

I'm a 21⁄2-year-old Maltese weighing just 8 pounds, and I'm looking for a very special forever home.

I'll be honest—| can be pretty shy when I first meet new people. The world can feel a little scary sometimes, and I need a patient family that will let me build trust at my own pace. But once I feel safe, you'll get to see the sweet, gentle little girl l've been waiting to become.

One thing that's helped me blossom is having another dog by my side. My foster sister, Venus, has given me confidence l never knew I had. Watching her has taught me that people can be kind, life can be fun, and it's okay to come out of my shell. Because of that, I must have another friendly, confident dog in my forever home to help me continue growing.

My foster dad has watched my personality bloom since Venus came into my life.

Every day I become a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more confident.

One of my favorite little quirks? My foster dad calls me "Puppy," and I've learned that's me! I'll happily respond when he says it, and it always makes my little tail wag.

While it's not required, my biggest wish would be for Venus and me to be adopted together. We've become such a wonderful team, and having my best friend by my side would make my dreams come true.

If you have a gentle heart, a patient home, and a playful pup looking for a little sister, I just might be the perfect addition to your family.

If you're interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption application at LOLR.org. I can't wait to find the forever family I've been dreaming of.
