Tanzanite's Story
Tanzanite (or Tanzi when he’s good… always) is a 10‑year‑old professional snuggler who believes the best place in the world is right next to you. If there’s a sunbeam, he’s in it. If there’s a soft cushion, he’s testing it. If there’s a chance for cuddles, he’s already on his way. Tanzi truly is the rarest of gems (a quiet Pomeranian?!).

Tanzi is gentle, quiet, and walks very well on a lead. When approached by humans or other dogs, he will hide behind your legs until he feels comfortable for a quick sniff. He builds connections quickly, so you’ll be his favorite in no time. He’s toilet trained and is great at letting you know when it’s time for a bathroom break. While his foster home doesn’t include cats or kids, we don’t anticipate this would be a problem due to his calm nature.

He is exceptionally quiet when you’re home, spending most of his day snoozing on the comfiest surface he can find (did I mention he tests cushions?). When left alone for too long, he does get whiny and display separation anxiety, but as he grows more secure his tolerance is increasing. With some patience and gradual exposure, this will likely continue to improve.

He was medically cleared at his vet check‑up, with the only finding being a mild collapsing trachea noted when his neck was palpated. He has not displayed any coughing or other symptoms day-to-day, but monitoring this and using a harness (not collar) will be important in the future. If you’re searching for a gentle, kiss‑giving, sun‑loving cuddle bug who naps like it’s his full‑time job, Tanzanite is the little gem for you.
