Tank (SEEKING FOSPICE HOME)'s Story

FOSPICE HOME NEEDED:
Tank came to us from a Central Valley shelter where he had ended up after his owner passed away. Tank came in with a sister doggy sibling who was adopted by a family friend and sadly Tank was left behind on his own at the shelter. We couldn’t let that be his fate, so we found space and brought him up to Lily’s.

At 11 years young, Tank does not let his hip dysplasia and arthritis get in the way of his exploration. With the curiosity and enthusiasm of a youthful pup, Tank has proven that age is just a number! Tank gets along with doggies and humans alike at the sanctuary, excitedly approaching new furry friends for play and asking for belly rubs from those with opposable thumbs! Tank is stealing hearts left and right at Lily’s and once you meet him, you will see why!

Tank has a heart condition and is on medication for it, but the condition isn't curable and over time, his body may stop responding to the medication. But in the meantime, Tank has plenty of adventure left to squeeze out of this life and would love a home of his own where he can be the playful, lovable goofball he is! He deserves to find someone to give him the best rest-of-his-life, however long that may be. Tank does not have a “timeline” and should remain treated just like a normal dog, getting his daily walks and sniffaries and LOTS of cuddles. A bonus would be a doggie friend and playmate!
