Tank's Story
Shelter Assessment:

Dog Friendly- Staff recommends feeding him in a separate area of the house, room or crate, and keeping bones up unless he's separated from other animals.
Kid Friendly

Loves treats and is highly food motivated, eager to please, but he's very sharky.
Fixates when you're holding something.
Knows sit. Playful / high energy, jumps up to give kisses--somewhat pushy with his space but listens to correction.
Likes toys but is more interested in the person.
Good with petting all over, grabbing feet, ears, tail, mouth, loves butt scratches.
Counter surfer.

Tank's previous shelter stated: Tank is dog selective and prefers dainty dogs and submissive dogs that he can coexist with. Will guard food/bones from dogs but when separated he's fine. He came in really skinny so it makes sense. He has been noted to be house and crate trained, and good with older kids.

***TO INQUIRE: IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR WANT TO MEET THIS ANIMAL, please come to the shelter during our operating hours OR email AnimalServices@bcohio.gov.

Tank is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment. If you have questions about an animal please come to the shelter during our operating hours or email AnimalServices@bcohio.gov.

WE HAVE MORE PETS IN THE SHELTER THAT ARE NOT ON PETFINDER.
For our most up to date list of adoptable animals and access to our adoption application please visit: https://www.animalfriendshs.org/adopt/

Dog Adoption Fees:
Puppies under 6 months: $200
Adult Dogs 6 months and over but less than 8 years : $95
Senior Dogs 8+ years old: $50

Breed listings: Please note that Animal Friends recognizes current research showing that the large majority of breed guesses on shelter dogs are inaccurate and that only a small percentage of an animals genetics make up their physical appearance. People visiting the shelter in person or viewing animals on our website will note that all of our dogs are labeled as Mixed Breeds unless they have been DNA tested or are surrendered to the shelter with paperwork. Any potential breeds listed here on PetFinder are not assumed to be accurate and are merely a starting point for people to be able to search for a dog who may visually resemble a breed they are interested in. We feel that the best matches are made based on a dogs individual personality and recommend families come meet our animals in person. Please reach out with any questions!
