Tank's Story

Tank is a handsome boxer mix with a gentle soul and one serious love of snuggling. At nearly 40 lbs, he's convinced he's a lap dog — and his foster family has stopped arguing.

He loves nothing more than burrowing under a blanket with his people, chewing a benebone, and watching a show from the couch. He'll zoom around the yard, play a round of fetch, and then happily follow you back inside — because wherever you are is his favorite place to be.

Tank is leash-trained, crate-trained, and knows several commands. He's gentle and respectful around small animals, great with kids and adults alike, and an all-around lovable companion.

He's working on housetraining — a work in progress due to gaps in his early life, not lack of trying — and does best with a dog-savvy home. Tank is selective with dogs and would need a patient introduction to any resident pups. He can live with cats but does best in a home that can manage mealtimes and shared spaces thoughtfully. Tank thrives on routine, structure, and lots of companionship, so he's ideally suited for someone who works from home, is retired, or is simply around often.

Tank has come so far and has so much more love to give. His foster family is committed to finding him exactly the right fit — and if that's you, he'll spend the rest of his life proving it was worth the wait.
