Tamera's Story

Tamera is here to have a good time and make sure everyone else does too.
At eleven months old, This girl already has quite the story. Rescued from a Walmart parking lot as a young, energetic pup, Tamera was one of the lucky ones- a Helpless Hound
who found her way out of the rescue system and into a home of her own. Unfortunately, sometimes even good matches don't last forever. Through no fault of her own, Tamera is back and looking for her real forever this time.
In foster, she's grown into a happy, healthy, very goofy girl with a big personality. Tamera is the kind of dog who keeps things interesting. She's always convinced it's mealtime and will happily run to her crate and wait just in case food might appear. When she needs to go outside, she makes sure you know by confidently knocking on the door. She's playful, a little chaotic in the best way, and has fully embraced her role as the fun, slightly annoying sibling who keeps everyone on their toes.

Tamera is affectionate, social, and loves being part of whatever is going on. She's house trained, crate trained, and knows some basics like sit, stay, and go to bed, but she's still very much in her puppy phase and brings that energy with her. She'll play hard, make you laugh, and occasionally invent her own entertainment, including chasing her tail in circles like it's a full time job- one that she's really impressively good at.

She's looking for a home that can match her energy, keep up with her antics, and continue guiding her as she grows up. Tamera is a lot of personality in one dog, and for the right home, she's going to be an incredibly fun and loving companion.

Helpless Hounds Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
For a complete list of our adoption criteria, please visit: https://www.helplesshounds.com/faqs NOTE: You must complete and submit an application and be approved to adopt prior to being able to meet the dog. We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always try to select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs and try to find the best match for both dog and human. We leave a dog’s profile online until either it has been adopted, or has received several applications. We are a non-profit organization that spends our adoption fees and donations on vaccinations, surgeries, various medical tests, medicines, food and supplies needed by our dogs. Our fees do not cover the overall expenses incurred by the care of our dogs, but they do help defray the costs involved. We thank you for your support.
