Tamera's Story

Tamera is a sweet little girl that came in with her sister, Tia. While Tia and Tamera would love to find a home together, they are not considered bonded as we previously had listed - they do great apart as long as there is another dog. Tamera is a nice size, as she won't get bigger than 30 - 40lbs. She is a very friendly girl that LOVES people! She gets along great with other dogs, cats, and children, too! James River Humane Society's Adoption Policy

All pets are current on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, have had vet check ups, and cats are FeLV tested before adoptions. No animals are permitted to leave the shelter before being spayed/neutered. If a second animal is being adopted, a $25 discount will apply if the animal is adopted within 30 days. After you adopt, take you application papers into your nearest PETCO. They will give you a savings coupon book worth hundreds of dollars in food, supplies and toys. The adoption fee is $200 with tax included. If a second animal is being adopted, a $50 discount will apply if the animal is adopted within 30 days. To adopt an animal from our shelter you must fill out an adoption application form. You may fill one out at the shelter or visit www.jamesriverhumanesociety.org to print out a copy to bring to us or send us the form online!
