Tamatoa's Story

Tamatoa, also known as "Tuesday" is a 2 to 3 year old brindle pit mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. Originally adopted as a puppy, Tuesday found his way back to us when his previous owner faced health challenges. His original name with the rescue was Tamatoa, but when he was adopted his name was changed to Tuesday. As he is used to that name, we decided to keep his new name, Tuesday! Now thriving in his foster home, he has blossomed into a loyal, playful, and eager to learn companion.

This medium energy boy loves to balance fun with relaxation. After some training, playtime, or a good sniffing adventure, Tuesday is perfectly content to curl up on the couch for a nap. He already knows an impressive list of commands including sit, paw, lay down, leave it, place, look at me, and go sniff. He is also crate trained. His love for training makes him a joy to work with, and he is always excited to show off his progress.

Tuesday is dog friendly with proper introductions and absolutely adores people, including kids. With his high prey drive, a cat free home would be best. He is working on curbing his jumping when he gets excited, but his eagerness to please makes him a fast learner.

When he is not training, you will find Tuesday happily chewing on a bone, tearing into a toy, or helping with whatever you are up to. He loves being included in daily life. He is making big strides with his anxiety, showing how resilient and determined he is to be the best dog he can be.

If you are looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy, playfulness, and lots of love into your home, Tuesday might just be your perfect match.

Apply here: https://www.playersforpits.com/adoption-survey
Questions before applying?
