I’m Takoda! I am a beautiful brindle boy with striking blue eyes. I am almost two years old so I am still working on some manners and building confidence, but eager to learn and do well with some guidance. <br/>I love playing with dog friends but do best with female dogs or mellow male dogs. Chase is my favorite game! I have a strong prey drive so a home without smaller animals would be best. <br/>I am learning to trust people more and with structure, patience and love, I will be your best friend!<br/>Please note: All Arctic Rescue dogs are marked “yes” to “Needs Experienced Adopter.” This is because Northern breeds typically have higher exercise, training, and care requirements than others. We recommend researching the breed before pursuing adoption if you do not have prior experience.

HOW OUR ADOPTIONS WORK: 1) We require all adopters to fill out an online application at: https://www.arcticrescue.com/adopt 2) We are a Utah-based rescue. All potential adopters must come to Utah and meet the dogs. We do not transport dogs. 3) We want to make sure that your home is the perfect fit for one of our dogs and vice versa. We want all members of the family to be happy and well matched with each-other, so require families to do a phone interview, reference checks, meet dogs and pass a home-inspection before adoption.
