Tairn's Story

Meet Tairn! This little boy is so much fun!! He’s 7 months old and weighs 35 pounds. A Kelpie mix, maybe with some Husky. He’s looking for an active family that will help him achieve his bucket list that is full of adventures. He was slotted to be a service dog but sadly his owner is too advanced in her illness to carry on the dream, so we took him in for her. He's smart and eager to have a job. He loves everyone and every dog he's met. He has lived with a cat too and did great. He loves kids but is still a mouthy pup working on his manners, so maybe 7 and older would be ideal for now. He would not thrive in a couch potato type house. A fenced yard is a must. He's 95% housebroken now and gladly goes into his crate. He’s great in the car and on a leash. If you're adventurous and looking for a loyal sidekick, Tarin is your dream come true!

He’s fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and ready for his happy ever after. His adoption donation is $415. Please apply directly in the dropdown menu on our website at https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org
PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.

Thank you for choosing adoption!!
