Taffy's Story
Taffy came to the shelter after being abandoned at a local park, got adopted, and was returned at no fault of her own. Despite this difficult start, she has an incredibly sweet, loving, and friendly personality and is ready to find a true forever home.

Taffy is estimated to be between six and seven years old and weighs about 65 lbs (she could benefit from losing a few pounds). She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, house-trained, and has wonderful manners in the home. Taffy does not jump on furniture and is non-destructive when left alone.

This smart girl already knows several commands, including sit, paw, leave it, and come. She loves affection, enjoys car rides, and has an easygoing, calm nature that makes her a joy to be around! Taffy is playful and happily entertains herself with toys, especially stuffed ones. When she’s excited, her adorable “helicopter tail” spins in circles, and it’s impossible not to smile when you see it!

She loves going for walks and can be strong on the leash simply because she gets so excited to be outside and spend time with her people. Taffy has done great with children and has the gentle, affectionate temperament of a wonderful family dog.

Taffy has had one meet-and-greet with a large male dog, whom she did not like. She may have to be the only dog in the home, but we are always open to trying again, as she may like smaller dogs or female dogs. If you have a resident dog, we encourage you to bring them along for a meet-and-greet to help ensure a good match.

Taffy is ready to leave shelter life behind and finally settle into a loving, permanent home.
