Taco's Story
**Meet Taco **

Taco is a sweet young Chiweenie who is looking for a family willing to give him the patience and love he deserves. His life has been full of changes. He was likely brought to Oregon from California, adopted through another rescue, became the father of little Penelope, and then found himself needing a new home when his family experienced housing issues. Through no fault of his own, Taco is starting over once again.

Because of everything he's been through, Taco is shy when meeting new people. Give him a little time, though, and you'll see his true personality emerge. Once he trusts you, he's affectionate, playful, and eager to be part of the family.

Taco is an energetic little guy who loves playing with other dogs and gets along well with cats. He also does well with older, respectful children, and we feel he'd be happiest in a home with kids **12 years and older** who understand that he needs time to build trust.

He's crate trained and feels comfortable in his crate, and he's making great progress with potty training. One thing he's still learning is that leashes and harnesses aren't scary. Right now, they're a work in progress, and he'll need a family committed to continuing his training and helping him build confidence through positive experiences and socialization.

Taco would thrive in a patient home that understands shy dogs and is willing to let him blossom at his own pace. The reward is a loyal, loving companion who simply needs someone to show him that his forever home really is forever.

If you're ready to help Taco write the next chapter of his story, he can't wait to meet you.

Adoption fee is $300. He is fixed, chipped, dewormed, flea treated, started on vaccines and had a wellness exam.
