Taco is a sweet pup thought to be around 2 years old and 12 pounds. He was found as a stray in Texas and is settling into living at his foster home. He’s on the shy side, but once he feels safe his affectionate personality shows. Taco loves getting pets and is an absolute lap dog. He loves to snuggle and would prefer to be with you at all times. <br/><br/>Taco is good with cats, other dogs, and is a curious pup himself. He has been around older kids, ages 11+ and was good with them. While he doesn’t have a tail, his very expressive ears say it all!<br/><br/>Taco would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands he may need a little time to settle in and would do best with at least one other dog in the home to keep him company. Your fee covers the significant costs of bringing them to safety. Your adoption fee covers: spay/neuter (if old enough), transport fees getting the dogs from Texas to our fosters homes here (that ALONE is $200-$230 per dog), core vaccines, heartworm test (If old enough), deworming, and microchip. <br/><br/>We partner with VCA Animal Hospitals. With every adoption comes a complimentary First Exam at any participating VCA location within the first 14 days of adoption. Follow-up Care Coverage: VCA provides limited health guarantee coverage (up to $250) for specific minor illnesses (like kennel cough or ear infections) diagnosed during that initial 14-day window.<br/> <br/>We do not guarantee the breed of any of our dogs or how big they will be when they are fully grown. The breed listed is typically a guess based off of appearance or personality traits. We cannot guarantee that any dog is not mixed with pit. This is a standard part of adopting a dog from rescue. <br/><br/>We do not have a foster to adopt program nor can we allow adoption trials. Our insurance does not allow it. If you're are interested in fostering there is a separate foster application, but you would only be able to foster dogs that are not currently in a foster home. Any access revenue made is used to care for animals with additional medical expenditures that would otherwise result in adoptable dogs having to be left behind and euthanized.
