Sylvie's Story

Hi there, I’m a pretty 1-year-old German Shepherd mix named Sylvie. I’m a smaller girl, short in stature, weigh 37 lbs, and my coat is velvety soft. I was a stray in a rural area in Atascosa, Texas, being fed by a lady who lived in the area. She noticed I was limping and reached out to 4 Little Paws Rescue for some help. X-rays revealed my pelvis had been fractured in the past, but since it had healed and I was using my leg comfortably with only a limp, there was no reason to amputate. These days, I am doing great, happy, and healthy, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and having some fun with the other dogs in my foster home.

My foster mom says I have a great personality, a little shy at first with new people, but I warm up quickly, absolutely adore other dogs, and am not too interested in cats. I am all about playing, playtime, toys, and treats, and I love going for walks and road trips. I am very well-behaved in a car and will sit calmly while being seatbelted in, and I walk very nicely on a leash, always by your side, even while shopping at Home Depot. I’m affectionate, love pets, snuggling, and sharing kisses. Interesting fact about me… I’m bilingual! Initially, I only understood Spanish, but my foster mom reports that I now also understand English. I am housebroken, know how to use a doggy door to let myself out, I only bark when I need to alert you, and I am not destructive. I hear the Northeast is the place to be, so inquire about me today!
Adoption Fee: $400

LOOKING FOR AN APPLICATION? Our Mission
Our purpose is to save small breed dogs in overpopulated states such as California, North Carolina, South Carolina,Texas and Florida where there are many more homeless dogs in shelters than willing adopters. We will transport, foster, provide medical care, perform vaccinations and spay/neuter, and finally re-home these dogs...
