Sylvia's Story
Small Enough for Your Bag. Big Enough to Steal Your Heart.

We have a confession... if Sylvia were ours, she'd probably be going to brunch with us every weekend.

At just 13 pounds, she's the perfect little sidekick. The kind of dog that fits comfortably in your bag, charms every person she passes, and somehow becomes everyone's favorite part of the outing. We can already picture her peeking her little head out while we're grabbing coffee, strolling through the farmers market, or soaking up compliments on a brunch patio. (Let's be honest... she'd probably get more attention than we would.)

Sylvia is about 6-7 months old, and we're honestly not sure how we got so lucky with this one. She's already potty trained, crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and absolutely loves other dogs. She's one of those rare puppies who just seems to understand how to be part of the family. No chaos. No drama. Just an easy, happy little companion who's ready to be included in whatever you're doing.

Her one true obsession? Squishy toys. Give Sylvia one, and she'll proudly parade it around the house like she just won Best in Show, giving it an occasional squeak just to remind everyone she's having the best day ever.

What we love most about Sylvia is how effortlessly she fits into your life. She's playful without being wild, affectionate without being clingy, and always happy just being wherever her people are. Whether you're heading out for errands, meeting friends for lunch, taking a neighborhood walk, or spending a lazy Sunday on the couch, Sylvia is the kind of dog who makes every day a little more fun simply because she's there.

We meet a lot of wonderful puppies, but every once in a while one comes along that just feels... effortless. That's Sylvia. She's the kind of dog you'll catch yourself inviting everywhere because she's so easy, so sweet, and so unbelievably lovable. Before long, you won't be asking if Sylvia can come—you'll be wondering why you'd ever leave home without her.

If you've been dreaming of a tiny best friend who's always up for the next adventure, always ready for a cuddle, and guaranteed to make strangers smile everywhere she goes, we have a feeling Sylvia has been waiting for you all along.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://www.stmuttsrescue.com/adoption-application

+++++++

Sylvia is currently being fostered New York and will be transported to her forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week.

+++++++

What Is a Benefactor Dog or Puppy, and Why Is the Adoption Fee Higher?

Benefactor dogs and puppies are typically specific breed mixes or high-demand rescues who tend to find homes quickly even with a higher adoption fee. These dogs play a special role in our mission.

Their increased fees help cover the costs for dogs who need much more time, care, and resources before they're ready for adoption. Most dogs spend months and even years in our care, requiring expensive surgeries, heartworm treatment, behavioral training, and ongoing medical support.

By adopting a Benefactor dog, you're not only giving them a loving home you're also helping to fund the second chance of another dog still waiting for theirs. Its a meaningful way to make a difference beyond just one life.

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and thats the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn't about perfection; its about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they're finally home. Thats when youll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you'll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
