SWEETY's Story

Sweety is a sweetie! This girls' gentle touch when taking treats is only surpassed by the softness of her fur when she snuggles against you for pets and affection. When excited, she can be a bit jumpy but she settles well and has already learned how to sit like a pro! OTHER PETS: Sweety played well with a high energy dog, they took turns during mutual play and Sweety reads other dogs' body language well. As with all our dogs, Sweety should meet any dogs she would be living with prior to adoption. [Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog] Experience with positive reinforcement or willingness to learn. KIDS: Sweety is gentle and friendly but because she gets very jumpy when excited she may inadvertently injure a smaller human. Sweety does settle nicely, has not exhibited resource guarding, is comfortable with most handling and loves getting attention from humans so she would do well with older children or children who have experience with a larger playful dog. [13+ / dog savvy (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Sweety enjoys loose-leash walks and has been playful with toys - keeping her active won't be a problem and with a combination of walks, playtime and learning new skills, she will be able to keep her muscles and her mind strong as she grows older. [Good Walking Buddy] VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Sweety bond with her new owner as well as help her learn new skills and fun tricks while building confidence. [Minimal] GROOMING: [Minimal]
