Sweetie's Story

Sweetie could not have any other name as it describes her perfectly! She came into our rescue January 24th during a big freeze and snow weekend. After some time in her foster home, the foster has discovered she completely lives up to her name. She is good with dogs, loves children, loves car rides and actually comes when called!

You would have no idea that she is 9 years old and certainly doesn't look her age, too, as she has a lot of energy. She had a tumor on her ear which was checked, removed and unfortunately found to be a high grade mast cell and then she had a low grade mast cell on her rear leg--also removed.

Sweetie is paying no attention to this and is certainly enjoying her life.

She saw an oncologist early April and will see a surgeon in early May to remove the ear flap as the tumor returned rather quickly on her ear. She will begin chemo soon after.

We are currently raising funds to pay for her second surgery and chemo which will cost thousands.

Please help us help Sweetie enjoy her life to the fullest by donating towards her care by this link:

https://www.paypal.com/donate?campaign_id=MPQFMVMGEEGVW

We'll list your name on her page on our website as her sponsor. Thank you. We couldn't help dogs like Sweetie without you.

Sweetie will be available for adoption after her cancer care. If you are interested in getting approved to adopt any golden retriever, please read "How to Adopt" at www.gr-rescue.org

We are currently raising funds to pay for her second surgery and chemo which will cost thousands.
