Hello- my name is Sweet Potato! My family and I were rescued by Guardians shortly before Thanksgiving last year- I was just a little baby and my mama was trying to take care of me and my siblings all by herself. I am almost 6 months old and mama appears to be a Scottish Terrier/Irish Wolfhound mix- best guess. I am quite friendly and like to play with my toys. I have gotten along great with other dogs, too! I have a gentle style of puppy play, so would make a great family dog! My $450 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip and spay/neuter at one of my rescue's vets in Fort Myers, Naples, Port Charlotte, Orlando or Miami when I'm closer to 6 months old. 1) Submit application 2) Application is reviewed for completeness and assigned to an adoption coordinator 3) Adoption coordinator verifies critical information on the application, contacts references and ensures that the requested animal is a good fit for the family 4) Adoption coordinator, in conjunction with rescue management, approves or denies application 5) Upon notification of approval, an adoption coordinator works with foster and adopter to set up an adoption appointment to bring your new family member home! We strive to work through adoption applications as soon as we can. We are 100% volunteer-based so it can take a day or two to complete the review. This also depends on the response time of your references. Should you change your mind or adopt a different animal after submission, please inform us so we do not spend unnecessary time on your application.
