Sweet Pea's Story
Sweet Pea (spayed female)
6 years - Pit Bull Terrier mix (88lbs) - stray

Sweet Pea is a big bundle of energy who loves nothing more than loving on her people. Sadly, she’s been given up on far too many times residing at the Humane Society for since September 2023—but we know she just needs the right person to give her a chance to shine.

She’s extremely food-motivated, eager to learn, and responds well to training. Her leash manners are improving every day, and with just a gentle tug she’s right back on track. Sweet Pea loves giving kisses and hugs, and while she can get a little excited, she listens quickly to corrections.

Sweet Pea will do best with a confident, experienced parent who can set boundaries while showing her the love she craves. She has to be the only pet in the home and would do best with older children.

Not quite ready to adopt? Sweet Pea would love a weekend sleepover or a foster home any day of the week!
