Sweet Pea is a two-year-old beagle looking for her forever home. She is crate-trained and working on house training. She is good with cats, other dogs and with kids. Sweet Pea is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to become part of your family.<br/><br/>Introducing our little darling Sweet Pea!!! This moderately active beagle girl likes walks, exploring the yard, stuffie dog toys and hard chewies. She does well and likes riding in the car, meeting new people, small children and playing with other dogs. She is crate/pen trained and spends time in her crate/pen when left alone in the home - keeping the both clean and dry. While she does bark, Sweet Pea is not all that vocal. She absolutely loves a good cuddle session and follows her humans all around her foster home. <br/><br/>Sweet Pea is VERY new to our rescue and we are still learning about her personality. Beagles are used for safety testing of human and veterinary medicines for the same reasons that they make good pets; they're small and gentle-natured. Where does Happy Paws Rescue come into the picture? On a regular basis, research facilities have beagles that they release to us. It gives us and you a chance to give back to these sweet dogs that have contributed to the advancement of science. Please email us if you're ready to be a giant hero in the eyes of a little dog!<br/><br/>Thinking about adopting me? Heres how:<br/>1. Fill out an application found at www.happypawsrescue.org under the *ADOPT* tab.<br/>2. Please allow 5-7 business days for us to review and respond to your application.<br/>3. Approved applicants will be invited to come meet me at a scheduled meet and greet or adoption event.<br/>4. If both you and the rescue agree that the dog you meet is a good fit for your home, you will fill out an adoption contract and exchange a small adoption fee. Your dog can go home the day of the Meet & Greet.<br/>5. We generally adopt to families within a 90 mile radius of our home base in Piscataway, NJ but may consider farther distances in the tri-state region if volunteers are available.
