Swagger II's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ADOPTION PENDINGWe gave Swagger his name because of his snappy little strut and because he is smart. He can be playful with other young pups, but currently in his foster home, Swagger is peacefully coexisting with two large male dogs who are very laid back and not interested in playing. Swagger's inside personality is very calm. He really enjoys affection, especially ear scratches and cuddles with his human. His foster mom says his love starts her mornings out with joy and ends her evenings with tranquility. Sounds like Swagger should get paid as a therapist right? Outside he is all beagle! He delights in the smells and lets his nose take him on safari. Occasionally he is content to just lie in the sun and relax. Swagger is very good with recall although he will of course hesitate a bit when required to pull away from a particularly fascinating scent. He is working hard on his house training and still needs some instruction, but is showing good progress. Teaching Swagger to be at ease in his crate is also something his foster mom is training -- he would rather be with his humans so will fuss when he is left alone in the crate. He has not shown any inclination to chew furniture or other things around the house and he walks well on a leash. Swagger is heartworm positive and will be treated the last week of April.
