Suzie's Story

When you foster a dog like Suzie, it can be a bittersweet experience. You get to see them flourish and learn how great life can be but then the goodbye part comes! Suzie is such a perfect package that sending her on her way is tough!

Suzie is around 7 to 9 months old. For a young Lab she is extremely well behaved. Suzie weighs around 60 pounds and probably has some more growing to do. She is great with dogs and loves going to day care and is cat friendly. House trained, crate trained, and leash trained, Suzie is the total package!

Suzie is a very good girl! She enjoys playing with a variety of dogs but is also content to cuddle on the couch. She is curious and will pick up things around the house but she’s not a destructive chewer, she just needs supervision as she is still learning what is dog approved to play with.

Suzie will do great in just about any home. She does need her exercise and mental activities to keep her happy, healthy and sociable. Suzie has enjoys the children in her foster home and is a loyal friend to them. The kiddos introduced Suzie to a water puddle on a rainy day and being a typical Lab, she was thrilled. Being outside with the kids especially in the fenced in yard is one of her favorite things!

Suzie will thrive in just about any home and that home will be fortunate to have her! While she is young and needs continued training, she will add so much to a loving home. She is hoping for lots of fun adventures and possibly some other dogs and children to grow up with!

Suzie will be available for adoption in RI on, or after, May 22nd, 2026

If you are interested in Suzie and are an approved adopter, please contact your Adoption Coordinator to be added to Suzie’s list.
