Meet Susie Q! <br/><br/>At 12 years young and just 7 pounds, Susie Q is a tiny Pomeranian with a huge heart and so much love to give. She came to Dogworks after the person who adopted her from another humane society sadly became homeless and could no longer care for her. Since then, shes been enjoying the comfort and love of her foster home while she waits for her forever family.<br/><br/>Susie Q is the definition of a lap dog. She absolutely loves to cuddle, be petted, and be carried around. She is very social with new people and gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and respectful children. Her favorite place is curled up in your lap, soaking up all the love she can get.<br/><br/>Susie Q does have special needs. She had untreated luxating patellas for many years, which caused her back legs to lock in place. Because she cannot bend her back legs, she learned to compensate by putting extra weight on her front legs, causing them to bow outward over time. She can still walk, but only for short distances and will need to be carried when she gets tired to prevent additional stress on her front legs. Despite her mobility challenges, she doesn't let them stop her from enjoying life and being close to her people.<br/><br/>She is potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside or when its mealtime with a little bark. One quirky thing about this sweet girl is that she prefers to be hand-fed—otherwise, she may decide not to eat. She truly enjoys being pampered!<br/><br/>Susie Q would do best in a quiet, one-level home where she can spend her days cuddling with her family. If there are stairs, she will simply need someone willing to carry her. In return, you'll gain a loyal, gentle companion who asks for very little besides love, attention, and a cozy lap.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a sweet senior who will happily be your constant shadow and cuddle buddy, Susie Q is ready to steal your heart.<br/><br/>She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchip, and is a monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>Her adoption fee is $200.<br/><br/>Please follow the link below for the adoption application.
