She is still a bit hesitant about receiving human touch and affection but is slowly learning that it's not meant to be a bad thing.<br/><br/>Susie loves the other dogs in her foster home and mingles well with everyone. She is working hard on her house training.<br/><br/>Susie does not show any evidence (heart murmur) of MVD at this time, but it is something to be aware of for all cavaliers.<br/><br/>ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:<br/><br/>Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences.<br/>Susie needs a confident resident dog in her forever home to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence.<br/>*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.<br/><br/>Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
