Sury's Story

Sury | Female | 2 years old | 61 lbs | Shepherd/husky mix| Dream dog sibling

Sury is a sweet, fun, and playful companion and is very gentle. She loves to "talk to you" and is said by her foster to be "a complete goofball." Although she is around 2 years of age, she is very puppy-like in behaviour, likely making up for the many months when she lived as a stray in northern Manitoba and didn't have the comfort to be a puppy. She is relishing her new life, and can't wait to have a permanent home that will love and guide her forever.

As she loves to play with other dogs, her best home would be one with at least one other playful dog of her size. She's happy to play for extended periods of time, and then to snooze on the couch or dog bed. She's clever, and thrives with mental stimulation. While not required, we think she'd be an amazing contender for dog sports of some kind, as she loves to learn and is very responsive. An active home and fenced yard would suit her best. She's always up for an adventure and is great in the car.

While she has shared a home with cats, she doesn't understand when they don't want to play with her, so a cat-free home would be ideal.

Sury loves her people (adults and kids) and prefers to have company, so would be best suited to a home with someone around a fair bit of the time. She sleeps well through the night and is housetrained, spayed, healthy and fully vaccinated.

This girl is so beautiful inside and out. She's going to make an absolutely dreamy companion to some lucky adopter (and their dog)! Apply at the link to bring Sury home: https://form.jotform.com/pawsacrossthewater/adoption-application
