Sunshine-ADOPTED

Sunshine is a 3 year old chocolate Great Dane who has led a pretty miserable life up to now. She was kept chained up as an outside dog and when she was finally rescued & brought into foster care, she was dangerously underweight and completely unsocialized. Thanks to her foster family, Sunshine is now up to a healthier weight and working on all of her social skills. She is working on both her house-training & crate-training and progressing very well. She is also learning how to behave on a leash. Her lack of training combined with her large size is why we have marked her as a "special needs" dog. Sunshine is looking for a home experienced in giant breed dogs who has the time, patience, & love to handle this 2 month old puppy in a 3 year old body. Her new owner must agree to take her to formal obedience training to insure the she will continue on her journey to being a wonderful pet. In spite of her early life, Sunshine loves people and is a very willing pupil. She loves to cuddle and can't seem to believe that people will actually love her and treat her well. Her sunny, cheerful nature is where her name came from.
