Sunshine Beagle Watertown, CT

Sunshine is a 29 pound, 3 year old beagle that was surrendered with her sister Susie when they both flunked out of rabbit hunting school. While she is not going to give Elmer Fudd a run for his money, she most certainly could find a chicken nugget hidden in the house in 15 seconds flat! Sunshine walks nicely on the leash, and she is working on her potty training. She doesn’t mind being crated and she is SUPER food motivated but doesn’t have any food guarding issues. She will need regular exercise and to have her food intake carefully monitored because she would gladly eat her weight in dog food three times over daily. She really enjoys the company of other playful dogs so she would be happiest in a home with another dog (or her sister Susie). As is typical for a beagle, she will also follow an interesting scent anywhere so she will need a fenced yard or to remain on leash to keep her from following her little nose off into far away places.

This dog is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 12pm-2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
