Sunny's Story
One of AFHAR volunteers, Lisa, is a traveling nurse and came upon Sunny tied up in someone's back yard. Lisa found out a neighbor was feeding Sunny each day because the owners did not seem to care. This was Sunny's life tied to a chain and lonely except when the neighborhood kids came by and threw rocks at him and kicked him. Someone actually poured a hazardous material on Sunny and burned his hair off. Lisa was able to convince the owner to surrender Sunny so that he could have a chance at a wonderful home where he is treated with respect and love. Lisa is currently fostering Sunny and he has turned out to be the most happy, grateful dog on the planet. Sunny got his name because we know his days ahead with be bright and sunny! We think he is a Border Terrier, about 10-12 pounds and young around 2 years old.
