Sunny's Story

Meet Sunny!
8 week old Shep/Husky mix
Classy, sassy, and a little bit bad assy!

Hi everyone! I’m Sunny, an eight-week-old Shepherd/Husky mix weighing in at a whopping 7.5 pounds of personality! I’m adventurous, playful, super sweet, and occasionally a little spicy. My foster mummy says I like to express my opinions, and what can I say? A girl has to make herself heard!

I love playing with the resident dogs, meeting new furry friends, and saying hello to people, including little kids. Just a heads-up: I’m teething, so my tiny baby shark teeth can be pretty sharp! I don’t mean to hurt anyone; I’m still learning my puppy manners.

Outside is one of my favourite places to be, especially now that autumn is here. Blowing leaves? AMAZING! Windy days? SO MUCH FUN! I’m an excellent leaf hunter, and I take my job very seriously. I play hard, nap hard, and am pretty good about sleeping in my crate, especially when there’s kibble/treats involved.

Potty training is a work in progress, but I’m starting to let my foster family know when I need to go out. I’ve tried a leash a couple of times, too. Sometimes it leads to exciting adventures, and sometimes I’d rather sit and take it all in!

I’ve recently been separated from my siblings, so I’m still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. I’ll need a family with patience, love, and a little understanding as I grow, learn, and work through my puppy shenanigans.

My health-care checklist is off to a great start, too! I’ve had my first set of booster shots, been microchipped, dewormed, vet checked, and received Simparica Trio.

Are you ready for a little Sunny in your life?

I may be tiny, but I have a BIG personality and a whole lot of love to give. If you’re looking for a playful, adventurous little girl who will keep you smiling, I just might be your sunshine!
