SUNNY's Story

Meet Sunny, a young jack russell terrier chihuahua mix female about 2-1/2 yrs old. She was rescued along with 60+ other dogs from a hoarding situation in Riverside. We have Sunny and her 3 siblings .. all female and ranging from 12 lbs to 25 lbs. When these 4 dogs came in, they were completely feral, would not allow anyone to touch them. Sunny and the smallest of the group, Smidge, are now less shy than the other two, although they are still both very skiddish. In the right home, WITH ANOTHER DOG and EXPERIENCED DOG OWNERS, Sunny and Smidge, and we hope the other two pups, might eventually become well mannered companionable pups. It will be a process. Sunny is NOT CUTE AND CUDDLY ... she shies away from being touched so she will have to learn that it's ok, she won't be hurt. She is untrained. She is healthy, spayed and vaccinated. She is young and in the right home, with the right family, we hope she will ultimately learn that people are good and life is fun.

If you are interested in meeting Sunny, have another non-skiddish dog who can befriend her, and are an experienced dog owner, please contact Dalmatian Rescue of Southern California, Inc. by email to dalrescue@sbcglobal.net. Rescue asks that you complete and submit an adoption questionnaire, to make sure Sunny might be a good fit for you and your home but once submitted and approved, arrangements can be made for you and your family and other dog(s) to come meet Sunny and her siblings.

To learn more about Dalmatian Rescue of Southern California, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit charity, and to see all of our available dogs, please visit our website at www.dalrescuesocal.com.
