Sunny's Story

Meet Sunny: The Perfect Lap Companion!
At 13 years young, Sunny proves that age is just a number. This sweet little man is looking for a family to call his own - one where he can be someone's favorite companion and cherished lap buddy.
Sunny's needs are simple: love, good food, daily walks, cozy laps, and even more love. His previous family cared deeply for him, but recognized that he deserved a home better suited to his needs. Friends of Faye is grateful to be helping Sunny find that perfect match, and we're equally thankful to his foster family for giving him a safe place to stay while he waits.
One of Sunny's favorite activities is going for walks. He's a little guy on a mission-where he's headed is anyone's guess, but he certainly enjoys the journey! At only 8-9lbs, Sunny is easy to walk on a leash, loves to snuggle, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and, as an added bonus, he's cat-friendly too.
In his younger days, Sunny had a FULL, gorgeous coat that required regular grooming. Right now, we're not sure if his fur will continue to be as "floofy" and we suspect his grooming needs will be fairly low maintenance. While we can't promise that, we can promise that Sunny has lots of love to give.
If you're in search of a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to share your days-and your lap-Sunny may be the one! And Friends of Faye would love to introduce you to this wonderful, little pup.
Interested? Want to know more? Our adoption application can be found on our website www.friendsoffaye.com

Friends of Faye's Adoption Policy
We do require most of our adopters to have securely fenced yards. However, some of our dogs may be considered for homes with smaller enclosures (i.e. secure patios) and we do occasionally adopt to apartment-style homes or homes without fenced yards. All applicants are considered on a case by case basis and selection of dogs appropriate for these homes is often limited. Puppies will not be adopted to homes where they will be left alone for too many consecutive hours on a regular basis. All dogs will be primarily inside dogs living as members of their family – no dogs will live strictly outside or in garages. No dog will be kept on a chain at any time, for any reason. All dogs will be provided with adequate fresh food and water, clean, dry shelter when outside, and daily exercise. All dogs will be provided a safe collar with ID tags to be worn at all times. All adoptive families will obey all applicable laws governing control and custody of animals. All adoptive families will provide medical care as prescribed by their veterinarian including but not limited to; yearly exams, HEARTWORM PREVENTION, vaccinations and unscheduled treatment for any illness/injury. All dogs will be adopted only as a personal companion and not as a gift, working animal or guard dog. All dogs will be returned to Friends of Faye should it be necessary to find another home for the dog. No dog will be given away for any reason at any point in their lives. Friends of Faye assumes no responsibility nor shall they be held liable for any damages caused by the adopted animal to property, person or other pets. If any medical problems occur after adoption, Friends of Faye is not liable for medical bills. If you have other pets, they must be spayed or neutered if you adopt from Friends of Faye. As well, your other pets must be up to date on all vaccines and heartworm prevention. To help ensure that we place our dogs in loving, responsible, and committed homes, we have an application and screening process. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.
